A medium-scale disaster
Gerard Butler in a disaster movie directed by a director known for medium-budget action films. It would seem that there is great potential for becoming a new "Geo-storm" or "Fall of London" - films that miraculously got into the future from the 90s and are only suitable for being watched as comedies. But, unfortunately, or fortunately, Greenland is a fairly competent film that does not deserve scathing criticism. However, at the same time, she is not original enough to deserve high praise. This is a "craft" film made for relatively little money in order to earn a little more money.
The plot of "Greenland" is full of excitement from just one description. A comet that appeared unexpectedly, "from another Solar system," will fly by the Earth, and it can be seen in the sky with the naked eye. But it turns out that the scientists were wrong, and the comet will not fly past the planet, but will fall directly into it, and humanity has 48 hours to hide in bunkers and preserve its biological species. Gerard Butler's character, John Herrity, decides how to get to the Greenland bunkers and save his family.
But despite the familiar plot outline, Greenland is trying to somehow diversify the familiar genre tropes. For example, Butler's hero is not a federal agent, not a scientist, not a former military man. He's an architect, a builder. And although at first it is suspected that he was previously "someone," it later turns out that he is really just a construction worker, with no military experience or government ties.

School starts in the fall, and the academic year at the university begins in the fall, so we often subconsciously, since childhood, expect something new to begin in the fall. And Peter Vera's tape evokes exactly these memories, telling about the students of an elite closed school for boys, who in the fall will learn something new not only about English literature, but also about themselves.
A number of well-known actors starred in the 1989 film while still young: Ethan Hawke, Robert Sean Leonard (Wilson from "Dr. House"), Josh Charles (husband of the main character from "Away"). 1xBet Anniversary Bonus offers signed-up clients a free bet.
